ARIS Task Mining

ARIS Task Mining is a modern solution that supports the analysis of microprocesses performed by IT system users. The tool enables automatic recording and analysis of activities performed on a computer, such as clicks, data entry, and transitions between applications. This allows you to check the actual workflow at the level of individual tasks. It is a key complement to Process Mining, which allows you to better understand how human actions translate into the efficiency of entire business processes.

What is Task Mining?

As opposed to Process Mining, which analyzes processes based on system log data, Task Mining focuses on user interactions with the computer interface. ARIS Task Mining enables:

  • Invisible background recording of user activities – fully compliant with privacy and data protection regulations,
  • Visualization and analysis of actual work patterns – at the level of clicks, data entry, and operation sequences,
  • Identification of repetitive, time-consuming, or error-prone activities,
  • Identification of areas with high potential for automation and robotization (RPA),
  • Comparison of actual work with the expected standard – allowing for the standardization and streamlining of operational activities

Key benefits of implementing ARIS Task Mining:

  • Better understanding of operational work
The tool allows for detailed observation of how employees actually perform their tasks, without the need for time-consuming interviews or manual description of processes.
  • Identifying areas for automation
ARIS Task Mining shows which activities can be replaced by RPA solutions or automated using workflow systems.
  • Increased efficiency and reduced errors
Standardization of operational activities, shorter task completion times, and fewer mistakes are a natural result of a better understanding of user work.
  • Synergy with Process Mining and BPM
Task Mining allows you to drill down to a level of detail that Process Mining does not cover, providing a complete, holistic view of the process from the system level to human behavior.
